Coventry University needed a single, definitive piece of content that could do what no brochure or ad campaign ever could — take a prospective student inside the university and make them feel it. Not just see it.
The ask was clear: produce one long-form cinematic film that captures the full breadth of the university — its energy, its people, and the distinct character of each faculty and sector within it. A film that could serve as the flagship piece of content for their Egyptian and MENA recruitment efforts.
We approached this as a film, not a promotional video. The distinction matters. Where most university content feels like a highlight reel, we built a narrative — one that moves through the university with intention, letting each sector tell its own story within a single cohesive visual world.
Pre-production was extensive. We mapped out every faculty, department, and environment that needed to be captured, then built a shot structure that gave each sector its own visual identity while keeping the film unified in tone, pacing, and aesthetic. Ekbar was embedded in the production from pre-production through final delivery — contributing to every stage of how the film came together.
The cinematography was crafted to feel immersive — wide establishing shots that communicated scale, tight human moments that communicated life, and seamless transitions that carried the viewer from one world to the next without losing momentum.
The result is a single, uninterrupted cinematic experience that puts a prospective student inside Coventry University — across every corner of it — and leaves them with a feeling, not just information.
